Branching Out With New Color Options
Several months ago someone requested a commission but they wanted the drawing to be wild. I did about twenty versions and trust me, none were wild. Suddenly, a week ago Sunday morning, I got up, went to my studio and started to draw. The corrugated texture that my paper was taped to started to show through and all of a sudden I was inspired to use patterns.
I worked on the drawing for a bit and set it aside, coming back to it last night. I started adding colors and patterns and fell in love with it. This may not be what the client was looking for, and I may end up redoing the drawing, but I think I am finding how I really love to create. I love my sedate work, but I adore and flourish in the wild, colorful and a bit wacky work. Best of all I love that I can do both!
The Perfect Gift
Giving a gift certificate of one of my portraits allows the receiver of the gift to choose exactly which pet or pets they want in the portrait and what style they would like.
When preparing a gift certificate I design a nice and hefty looking document (makes it feel better than a slip of paper) and wrap it up with a box of biscuits. I can also work with you to put together a whole package of biscuits, toys, collars, if you want a package that has a lot of gift heft to it!
Give me a call or send an email and we will make sure that the gift will be happily and lovingly received by both the human and his or her pet.
